Allied Health / Continuing Education Building
Nicholls State University
Houma, Louisiana

The building accommodates 23,000 gross square feet and will supply new spaces to address the long-standing demand for trained health care providers in the allied health profession and for nursing continuing education. This project was completed as a Joint Venture with Houston Lirette, Jr. Architect.

 

Oncology Center
Terrebonne General Medical Center
Houma, Louisiana

Construction of this facility was completed in October of 1996.  Two oncologists are housed on the first floor along with personnel from the hospital's Social Services Offices and Conference Center. Each of the four floors contain 21,800 square feet with the upper floors to be used for future lease spaces. The total project square footage is 107,000 square feet.

 

The 20,000 square foot Critical Care Wing Addition provided twenty (20) Critical Care Beds with the latest in medical technology. Patience rooms are designed to provide ample access to the patient by medical staff and family. The facility began operations on June 1, 1998.

 

The new addition of seventy-two (72) cells provided for the need of congestion in the Detention Center. The job was completed as a Joint Venture with Houston Lirette, Jr. Architect.

 

The Parking Structure Project is a four and a half story building which facilitates 232,000  sq. ft. and accommodated 580 vehicles. In addition to this development, was the construction of a New Linear Accelerator Vault, Control Room, Equipment Rooms, Staff Support Space, Patient Waiting and Dressing areas, and New Simulator and Simulator Control Room. The renovation also included additional staffing support space, which consisted of two (2) physician consultation rooms and additional office space for administrative purposes. The equipment housed in the Linear Accelerator Vault and Simulator Control Room was installed and provided by Elekta/Phillips Oncology.

 

This project consist of renovating fifty (50) housing units at Senator Circle and providing handicap accessibility at Bayou Towers.Containing 25 duplex units, groups of 3 units were being completed to prevent the the relocation of all proposed units and its tenants. The scope of work included: new ceiling, new plumbing fixtures, new finish floor, new decorative porch columns, new base and ceiling wood moldings, and repainted the whole interior of the unit. Bayou Towers work provided for a new concrete pad for the dumpsters as well as the drive, new handicap accessible millwork, refinish the exterior finish of the supporting columns, new corridor handrails, and slip-proof the concrete area in the back.

The New Travel Center, built along corridor Hwy. 90,  consisting of a fuel station for both standard and commercial vehicles, parking spaces for one hundred commercial vehicles and 125 standard vehicles, a 24 hours restaurant and a video poker casino with fifty (50) poker machines and a bar. Convenience facilities such as shower closets, washer & dryer and coffee room are provided for commercial operators.

 

         The project involves the build-out of the existing first floor of the medical center to install a new MRI Unit. It included the demolition 
         of  the existing suite to accommodate the newly revised plan.

M.R.I. Facility
Gray, Louisiana

         Completed in January of 2002, The new 2,670 sq. ft. design/built building shelters a New MRI Unit for YBI, LLC. The modular face 
         brick building houses the new AIRIS II MRI unit.
